What are Dog Heirlooms?
Dog heirloom portraits are timeless and personalized works of art that beautifully capture the essence & personality of your beloved canine companion. These portraits are meticulously crafted to capture the unique characteristics and expressions of your furry best friend. Portraits will me a mix of full body portraits, traditional heirloom portraits with white edged boarder, and a few playful fun portraits. Galleries will include color and classic black & white images.
Unlike traditional photographs, dog heirloom portraits are designed to be cherished for generations. They serve as a tangible representation of the love & bond between you and your dog, preserving precious memories that will last a lifetime.

Timeline of Dog Heirloom Portraits:
Step 1: Book your Portraits, Pay deposit, & Sign contract
Secure your time slot on the Heirloom Portrait! Once booked be sure to pay your sitting fee and sign your contract. Your time slot if not guaranteed until the sitting fee has been paid. One sitting fee is required per family.
Step 2: Planning
After your deposit has been paid you will receive your Heirloom Pricing Guide to review & a Client Experience Guide to prepare you for your studio session! I will help you prepare to make sure your fur baby is ready for your session.
Step 3: Studio Portrait Session
Yay! It's portrait day!!! Review your reminder email before the big day! Please arrive 5 minutes early before your start time. The session will take place in a studio in Wilmington. This ensures a safe space for your dog. Your session is 25 minutes long and should be fun and easy!
Step 4: Printing your heirlooms
You will receive your full gallery within 2-3 weeks after your session. Once your gallery has been delivered you will select your collection from the heirloom pricing guide. If you choose a collection with a composite, I will walk you through the custom design process and order your images for you. There is an additional a la carte menu available to purchase from.
Fill your home with images of ALL your children, including your fur babies, so they may be remembered and cherished forever.
How are Custom Composites and Prints ordered?
Once your heirloom gallery has been delivered...
- Review your dog's portraits in your private online gallery and select the collection you wish to purchase.
- Print directly through your gallery from my online print shop. Prints will arrive quickly
- Collections One comes with a custom composite that are available in 3, 4, or a 5 image layouts in either color or black & white. You will be apart of the design process from start to finish top create the perfect composite of your furry best friend!
- Wait for your composite proof to arrive and review.
- Once you approve your composite I will order and deliver your heirloom piece directly to you for your family to enjoy for years to come!

What age is best for portraits?
From playful pups to wise old fur babies, any age is best!
What if my dog isn't the most well behaved?
This is the most frequently asked question. I will strive for minimal distractions in the studio during your session. I will have an assistant present to help during the session. I recommend bringing treats and toys that your dog loves but not showing it to them until necessary. If you have more than one dog, you will need someone else to hold the other dog until it is their turn. If you are worried your dog will not cooperate, send me a message and we can discuss other options.
Can siblings get portraits together?
Absolutely! I will do my best to reserve time for sibling portraits to be included during their time in the studio as long as the dogs cooperate. I will include these images in a separate folder within your private online gallery.
Can I order prints from my gallery?
Yes! All galleries are connected to my print shop! I use a professional but affordable company called Millers Lab! This ensures your images have the best quality and coloring. They are fantastic quality and have quick shipping! (These prints are different from the prints included on the heirloom collections.)
Can additional composites be ordered?
Additional composite prints can be ordered for an additional fee. Please review the heirloom pricing guide for more details.
Can I order framed portraits?
Yes! There are multiple frame and album options available through your digital gallery.
How long is my gallery available?
Galleries stay active for 3 months and are then archived. Portraits need to be saved to multiple devices before the archive date. There is a small fee to reactivate galleries after 3 months.
